Ambiance:
– When I went there for the first time, I still remember my first impression was “Wow, this is very deep in Cheras area”. Lol. But nowadays with Waze, it is not difficult to find most of the places. But if you are going there with public transport (except Grab / Taxi), it can be a challenge. You may choose to register and park inside the apartment’s visitor parking or park outside at the roadside. If you choose the latter, it is quite a walk up a slope.

– Daren who is the man behind Spring Hand Massage is very friendly, hail from Sarawak and certainly has a number of years of service in what he offers.

– The treatment area which doubled up as his bedroom is very simple and good enough for its purpose (with the lighting and music). His modality is done on a mattress instead of a massage table.

Sequence: Prone: Started on leg then move on to the glutes before working on the entire back (he combined his strokes for back / shoulder / neck).

Supine: He will start back on the leg then to stomach and chest and finish off with manhood therapy.

Technique:
– I can’t pinpoint exactly a modality that Daren practices but definitely has a lot of Swedish massage modality influence. He uses a lot of petrissage and effleurage to approach all the parts.

– There are two unique points in his technique. Firstly, how he tend to finish his strokes with a recoil at the end. Possibly that is how the “spring hand” comes about. First time experiencing recoil being used in this manner. Secondly, he has this “yin yang” hand too where one hand is a regular stroke and the other is soft feathering techniques. It gives a very tranquilizing effect somehow.

Additional note
– Packet mineral water is provided.
– You can choose to bath before or after the session.

Pros:
– Has his own identity in approaching the massage. Certainly very calming.
– He has a warm and gentle personality. Very responsive in replying messages too (when he is not in appointment)

Cons:
– Location
