Intro:
– It has been a while since I visited a massage establishment. Been frequenting more individual therapist for the past one year. This one came recommended by one of my client, Jason, in which he tried the 4 hands massage with them.

– Parking is a bit hard in this area and traffic can be quite high as well during peak hours. Beside that, my first impression of the outlet is a good one with the friendly receptionist, the smell of lemongrass and soothing music greeting you as you walked in (they are located at Level 1).

– I arrived 10 mins after their official opening hour but they are certainly not ready to receive customer. I was brought to the waiting area for sometime before proceed to the treatment area (at level 2). There, before they did the foot bath, I was made to wait again while the therapist is setting up the treatment room.

– The music from level 1 is not connected to level 2 and it only came on half way through my session.

Sequence: Prone: Without oil, the routine started on the back muscles along the spine, shoulder and neck then moved on to the leg. With oil, he did from the neck, back, glutes and finish with the legs.

With oil, I just felt there are slightly too much oils being used. Maybe he needed that for the glide.

Supine: He begun at the leg then the stomach, the chest and finally, a bit of scalp.

Seated: This is the typical routine of the neck and shoulder.

Technique:
– At the very start, with double towel draping, it was palm compression and acupressure.

– With oil, it is mainly forearm glide which dominate the session. In fact, this felt a bit overdone that it felt too repetitive. Other techniques include effleurage and thumb strokes.

– After the oil sequence, I once again waited for quite some time while the therapist get the warm towel to wipe the oil off.

Additional note
– You have a choice of male or female therapist. They have quite a number of treatment spaces.
– Disposable underwear is provided. They provide a big bag for you to put your clothes and belonging but they have hanger too.

Pros:
– Very nice and zen ambiance. The interior design is ala Japanese inspired
– Good therapist especially his strength but can be better in terms of the technique. It wasn’t a bad session but it wasn’t the extreme “wow” session either.

Cons:
– The few moments of waiting and wondering what is going on. It does disrupt the flow and experience
