Intro:
– This review is based on Benny’s outcall service as I went to Penang for work again (after a long hiatus). The last time I came to Penang (prior to covid pandemic), I couldn’t book Benny (but tried Eric Bodyworks instead). Plus Benny responded to me a bit late. Finally, a few years later, we met and manage to have a session.

– He is the type of therapist whom you know that you are in for a good session by the first touch. He has 15 years of experience and counting. A competent therapist with his skill and technique. Through my conversation with him, he indeed has the knowledge and do cater his treatment to all ages and gender.

Sequence: Prone: Without oil, he started his routine on the back, shoulder and neck then moved on to the leg. With oil, he moves from the neck downwards to the legs.

I particularly like how he knows to work on the teres muscles as well as the glutes. Plus, he can advise which of your body part which may need more work.

Supine: He started with a great head / scalp massage then chest and stomach before finishing on the leg and basic manhood. In his massage, he also used balm on certain muscles to give it further relief.

Seated: He focused on the neck and shoulder but also on the mid glutes area (first time experiencing this particular technique that he did). But for those who have flexibility issues, this technique can be a bit straining to the hip joint. However, it will be satisfying if you can.

Technique:
– At the beginning, he started with dry compression with stretches and acupressure. He also uses sanding on the back and neck muscles. He has great strength and with his experience, he knows how to use his body weight well despite doing it on a soft hotel bed.

– With oil, he used a lot of forearm glide, thumb slide that ends with cross friction on trigger points. These techniques can be painful but he can adjust his strength accordingly (do communicate with him). He does incorporate effleurage off and on for relaxation (after the hard glide). With his technique, he can help if you do have certain muscle knots that need to be ironed out.

– While seated, he used more acupressure technique couple with some stretches.

Additional note
– Benny’s massage focus more on body dysfunction, treatment based rather than aroma therapy based.
– He brought own towel for the session and also has nice music to accompany his session. He is well prepared.

Pros:
– A proficient therapist who provides great massage.
– Well mannered and friendly.

Cons:
– Not exactly a wrong or bad thing, but I feel he should not only label his service as aromatherapy. I feel he is doing himself injustice by doing that. His skill is far greater than that.
– Can be a bit slow in responding to messages.
