1. Please do share about your background in a nutshell.

I started my career as a software developer, but I have always been passionate about sports, actively participating in badminton, running, swimming, pickleball, and more. One day, a friend introduced me to Thai massage during a trip to Thailand, and that experience sparked my interest in the world of massage therapy.

As someone who trains regularly, I often experienced muscle soreness and fatigue. This led me to explore massage not just as a way to relieve my own discomfort but also to understand how to target the right muscles for effective recovery and injury prevention. The more I learned, the more I realized how massage plays a crucial role in maintaining athletic performance and overall well-being.

During my journey in massage training, I also became a badminton coach. Through coaching, I gained an even deeper understanding of the physical demands of sports, particularly the impact on muscles, joints, and recovery needs. This unique combination of being both a massage therapist and a coach allows me to provide specialized treatments tailored for athletes and active individuals.

Today, my goal is to help others enhance performance, prevent injuries, accelerate recovery, and promote overall well-being through professional massage therapy. Whether you’re a competitive athlete or someone looking to relieve muscle tension, I am here to help you move and feel better..

2. Do you have a preferred massage modality? Any reason for that?

I believe that every massage modality has its own unique benefits, and the best approach depends on the individual needs and condition of each client. Rather than favoring a single technique, I focus on tailoring the massage to provide the most effective treatment for each person.

Currently, I specialize in combining Sports Massage and Swedish Massage, which helps to enhance recovery, relieve muscle tension, and improve overall relaxation. This combination allows for deeper muscle work while still maintaining a soothing and restorative experience.

Additionally, I am expanding my skill set by learning Gua Sha and Lymphatic Massage. My goal is to integrate these techniques to further enhance the effectiveness of my treatments—whether it’s for pain relief, muscle recovery, or improving circulation and detoxification.

Every client is unique, and I strive to provide a personalized approach that best suits their needs, ensuring they leave each session feeling rejuvenated, restored, and ready to perform at their best.

3. What is the weirdest request you ever get from a client before, during or after a session?

In the massage industry, you come across all sorts of client requests—some expected, some unusual. One of the more common yet awkward requests I’ve received is for “urut batin” or yoni massage.

To be clear, I do not provide these services, nor do I have any training or knowledge in them. While I understand that there are professional and legitimate ways to perform such treatments, it’s simply not something I offer at this stage. Maybe in the future, I’ll explore learning more about it from a professional perspective, but for now, my focus remains on sports massage, Swedish massage, and injury recovery.

Even when I politely explain that I don’t offer these services, some clients still proceed to share their past experiences with previous therapist.

4. Let’s turn it the other way around, instead of client always requesting this and that from you, what would you request of your client when comes to massage? Or what is your one wish on customer if you are granted one?

Massage is a time for your body and mind to reset, recover, and heal. When you’re constantly on your phone, scrolling, texting, or answering calls, it takes away from the full experience. Plus, I’ll be honest—it frustrates me a little when someone is glued to their phone while I’m working hard to release their muscle tension! 🤭

I want my clients to truly embrace the moment, let go of stress, and allow themselves to fully enjoy the benefits of massage therapy. But if you feel the need to talk, I’m also a great listener—so if you’d rather express your thoughts, vent your stress, or just have a friendly chat, I’m happy to be there for you.

So, my wish is simple: Relax, unplug, and let the massage do its magic! 💆‍♂️✨

5. What is your advice or word of wisdom to aspiring massage therapist?

✅ Keep Learning & Practicing – Always improve your skills and knowledge.
✅ Be Open to Feedback – Listen to clients and adjust to their needs.
✅ Stay Confident & Positive – Believe in your work and the impact you make.

Massage is more than just technique—it’s about care, connection, and making a difference. Stay passionate, and success will follow! 💪✨

6. Any other things you would like to share or add?

To fellow therapists: Stay professional, keep learning, and don’t stress over mistakes—every session is a learning experience. Confidence comes with practice!

To clients: Respect your therapist and communicate openly. We are here to help, but we can’t read your mind—so let us know your preferences, pressure level, and areas of concern. A great massage happens when both therapist and client work together!

At the end of the day, massage is about trust, care, and well-being. Let’s make every session a meaningful one! 💙
