Update (September 2024): Leong has since move his operation to a residential area and it is now even more equipped, comfortable and nicer ambiance in conducting his therapy. Shower facility is available and parking wise, you can park right in front of his place which is convenient and safe. I also felt his massage flow has improved from the last time I saw him. It is smoother and one part connects to the other, bearing in mind it is still treatment based so your dysfunction areas may still feel more sore than the other.
Intro:
– Besides a massage therapist, Leong is also a certified TCM practitioner. This clinic is where he practices both his TCM as well as massage therapy. He was recommended to me by Dr Johnny Chaw.
– At night time, this place can be relatively quiet (aside from the restaurant nearby). Parking is easy to find.
– He has a very approachable personality and does create small talk to break the ice and subsequently, to find out about your body conditions at the point of treatment.
Sequence: Prone: He started the routine on the scalp then going all the way down to the leg.
Supine: This is the reverse where he moved from bottom up, leg to the head.
But in general, he follows the meridian points of the body instead of a fixed regimented structure.
Technique:
– On the scalp, he uses ala guasa method.
– Without oil, friction / cross friction technique with elbow and forearm were used mainly. It is also accompanied by strong tapotement.
– With oil, forearm glide, thumb stroke and sanding were his go to technique.
– For manhood, it is slightly different from the Malay traditional therapist technique. He mainly concentrate on the three muscle on the penis shaft; the two corpora cavernosa (in layman, the erection muscle) and corpus spongiosum (the expulsion muscle).
Additional note:
– He speaks mainly Cantonese with me but can converse in English / Mandarin too.
– This is a treatment massage and not so much for relaxation. Some sore points could be painful for you or you must expect a certain amount of pain during the session. He does offer prostate massage as well.
– In terms of timing, he doesn’t have a late last call, do check with him accordingly.
Pros:
– He has many years of experience and knowledgeable in the treatment that he renders. He possess good skill.
– He will be able to give good advise to your body conditions and the prevention as well.
Cons:
– Centre may not have the perfect ambience but it serves its purpose of being both TCM centre and massage therapy. The massage table is not so comfortable due to the padding.
