Intro:
– At this row of shoplots (right across Aman Central) there are easily about 4 different massage outlets. I have been here many times while visiting my relatives but this is my first time ever visiting the massage establishments here. For Day 1, I chose Teraharze Therapy and Reflexology Centre and Day 2, Nagoya Reflexology Centre.

– All the massage outlets here look packed (I went about 9pm+) with mostly patron doing foot reflexology. I took full body massage in which both establishments have a couple of partitioned rooms.

Sequence: Teraharze: I got a local lady who seems to be experienced in what she is doing and her hand does feel seasoned. She started on my entire back (one side by one side) before working on the leg

– On supine, she just managed to work on my leg and hand. Possibly this is also due to the time factor wise. They have an alarm clock to time the service hour.

Nagoya: Here, I also got a local lady but she is definitely not as approachable as what I have experienced at Teraharze. At the beginning, she was also answering her handphone while massaging which is a big no-no for me.

Flow wise, it is similar to Teraharze except she manages to include in basic scalp massage when on supine and she also tackled my hand while on prone.

However, her flow does feel a bit disruptive due to her oil application technique that took a bit long.

Technique:
– Both therapist techniques are traditional urutan kampung where repeated gliding strokes are used for all areas. Teraharze’s therapist used a lot of her forearm with occasional palm / thumb strokes. Meanwhile, Nagoya’s therapist used more of her thumb and palm.

– All their techniques are mostly oil based except Nagoya’s therapist do use some dry compression at the beginning.

– One thing to Nagoya’s disadvantage is her left thumb skin seems to be rougher and it became painful after repeated glides. On the contrary, one thing to their advantage is the usage of hotpack on my back after they finish the back sequence (while working on my leg).

Additional note
Teraharze: The place is relatively small and feels cramped. I am sure your conversation with your therapist can be heard by others at the outside.

– I am one who is not for the burping technique while massaging anyone but the therapist does employ that. I didn’t say anything though and just bear with it.

– They also have perks for repeated customer (loyalty card). But I didn’t take it as I only will come back once a year.

Nagoya: It is certainly more spacious but the dimly lit environment does make it looks a bit creepy. Even Teraharze lighting brightness is not great but it is full of people hence less creepier.

They do provide you with a short pants to wear which I am always iffy about its cleanliness. While for Teraharze, the therapist don’t mind you going naked but with draping.

Pros:
Teraharze: Reasonable price with experienced therapist. The people working at the establishment are friendly too.

Nagoya: Pricing is also on par with Teraharze with an experienced therapist (minus the friendliness)

Cons:
– The massage does its job but not the type of establishment where you go for the ambiance though Nagoya has a more spacious room with a better massage table.
