Those outlets / brands located inside a shopping centre always do make it convenient  and accessible for the public to visit them but at the same time, the price could also be slightly higher than average due to the rental. One thing I like about Starling Mall (where this brand is situated at Level 3), parking is easily available even on a weekend.

I don’t quite like the store front design of this brand, possibly due to the colour choice (personal preference) but the internal design is good and has the right setting. The receptionist area is facing the store front and the treatment area is on the left and right, accessed by going through another door. The hallway is pretty huge with at least 8 treatment rooms – single and couple rooms. Oh yeah, you can also choose the aroma oil and I tried the jasmine oil.

Once inside the treatment room, I have to change to the provided disposable underwear  (which those who has been following my review will know that this is usually not what I prefer). They do provide two layers of draping which is good especially when the air-cond here can be a bit cold (Unsure whether it is adjustable since it could be a centralised air-cond from the shopping centre). The bed was comfortable enough with a relatively comfy headrest too.

The therapist start with my back with the routine of dry (with towel) presses by using her elbow and thumb. Subsequently, it followed by strokes with her arm and palm (with the oil and maybe my nose was blocked but I can’t smell much). While prone, she will then continue with my hand and leg and on supine, she started with my leg, hand and lastly neck.

Unsure whether my muscle is already sore before the treatment, I felt her pressure on my leg and hand were a bit too strong at the beginning. Luckily, the therapist was very communicative and did ask me every step of the way on her strength. Skill wise, the therapist has good skill and know what she is doing (which was particularly important for me for this visit due to my horrible experience earlier on with another brand. I don’t want to be going through 2 bad massage sessions back to back).

Throughout the treatment, strangely there is no music though. Wonder why such a choice. Or maybe their sound system is not working on that day….didn’t ask them anyway.

One thing I particularly like is after the massage, the therapist did quite a thorough wipe with a pail of hot water to ensure the towel is always hot while she wipe the oil off.

After the treatment, as like other good brands, they serve tea and one extra thing, sweet. 🙂 There is a cinema here at this mall which was my next destination after my treatment.

Note:
– The brand do represent Thalgo’s product. I am no expert in beauty product so unsure how credible Thalgo is.
– Can do the massage fully naked, disposable underwear is given. Bringing own oil is not neccesary since aroma oil is provided on complimentary.

Pros:
– A lot of promotion during happy hour but may not be competitive to market price. Offer other services also including scrub, herbal ball treatment etc.
– Inside shopping centre so convenient parking and if you want to do other things

Cons:
– Despite the promos, price may not be competitive enough in this blooming industry.
– Music?
